Executive Director – Non-Profit
Location: Onsite in Marietta, Georgia
Salary: 70,000 – 80,000 a year
Our client, a small non-profit organization that works towards eliminating human trafficking, is looking for an Executive Director to lead their team in Marietta, Georgia. Their team is small but accomplishes a great deal because of the incredible synergy and dedication to the mission. They come from diverse backgrounds which brings great insights to the table. Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Board of Directors to fulfill the organization’s mission.
- Conduct strategic planning and set vision for the organization.
- Communicate effectively and provide all information needed for the Board to function properly and make informed decisions.
- Seek the Board involvement in policy decisions, fundraising and increasing visibility.
- Work with the accountant to develop/handle the budget.
- Responsible for signing all agreements entered.
- Responsible for all Human Resources functions:

- Writing job descriptions, posting jobs, interviews, hiring
- Onboarding new hires, maintaining employment records
- Time reporting, interacting with payroll vendor
- Managing staff, PTO, performance reviews
- Create and maintain policies and business practices. Periodically evaluate current policies and propose improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
- Manage insurance policies and landlord interactions.
- Set direction for fundraising and vision for the annual gala.
- Work in partnership with the Founder and the advisory board and make decisions on creation of the survivor resource center.
- Set direction for marketing and community outreach.
- Enhance the organization’s image by being active and visible in the community. Attend and speak at conferences, be an active member of related task forces and commissions.
- Speak at Enlighten program events.
- Conduct Educate program training.
- Promote and make decisions on curriculum.
- Ensure there are data-driven program evaluations to track progress against goals and for reporting on the impact of funding.
- Engage with survivors to encourage them, including survivor dinners, and serve as back up support for the case worker in the event she is unavailable.
- Address survivor grievances.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum
- Transparent and high integrity leadership
- Five or more years of nonprofit management experience or high level management experience in leading a small organization
- Ability to convey a vision of a strategic future to staff, board, volunteers, and donors
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector
- Relationships with corporations to bring them in as financial supporters
- Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers
- Strong public speaking ability
- Proven ability to identify and leverage community resources to further the mission
Compensation: 70,000 to 80,000 a year
